The Whitaker-Jaynes House is the cornerstone of an historical park in Buena Park managed by the Buena Park Historical Society. Built in 1897, the house was the family home of Andrew Whitaker, brother of city founder James Whitaker. After Andrew died in 1903, his wife sold the home to the Jaynes family which lived in the house until 1965. The Bacon House was built in 1884 and passed through several hands before James Bacon, developer of the Bacon Avocado, was born there.
