Treasure Cove Beach at Crystal Cove State Park is accessed from hiking trails that lead down the steep bluff from day-use parking lots inside the Pelican Point entrance. This entrance to the state park is across from Newport Coast Drive on Pacific Coast Highway. Treasure Cove Beach is popular with surfers and also with scuba divers who explore the reefs in Crystal Cove Underwater Park. The Bluff Top Trail allows walkers and bikers a route south to the Crystal Cove Historic District and north to views into Little Treasure Cove at the northern boundary of the park. Between Treasure Cove and Little Treasure Cove is a tall rock wall with an observation platform on top.
